PACKAGES
BASIC
We offer three to seven day fishing packages from June to September, which include: lodging in comfortable, modern lake shore log cabins, boats, motors, smoking and vacuum packing. Breakfasts and dinners are served in the lodge dining room, while lunches are usually eaten picnic style while out fishing.
GUIDED PACKAGE
We offer three to seven days fishing packages from June to September, which include: lodging in comfortable, modern lake shore log cabins, guide service, boats, motors and belly boats, angling licenses and all taxes, fish cleaning, smoking and vacuum packing. There are horses and tack for those wanting a horseback fishing experience. Breakfasts and dinners are served in the lodge dining room, while lunches are usually eaten picnic style while out fishing.
HORSEBACK
A single day can be added to the Basic or Guided packages or can be done as a trip unto itself.
RIVER
The river package includes all the amenities of the Guided Package but is taken out of our River Lodge and can include fishing on the Horsefly River, the Mitchell River and several other creeks and rivers depending on the Clients preference. Also includes Classifed Water Days and Licences.
PHOTOS
In order to maintain a high quality fishing experience, we encourage our clientele to practice catch and release techniques and to only keep a few select fish to savour for the smokehouse or barbecue. Our waters have rainbows up to 15 pounds, bull trout to 17 pounds, lake trout (char) up to 30 pounds and kokanee up to 1 1/2 pounds. Fly fishing and spin casting are both excellent methods of luring the rainbow to your net, while trolling is the most successful method used in catching lake trout and kokanee. We have everything from fast action fishing, where you could conceivably catch and release more than 100 feisty trout a day, to stalking beautiful trophy rainbows in a crystal clear river, comparable to the best in Alaska.
During your stay, depending upon your package you will be staying in one of our two lodges. The River Lodge is primarily for those on the River Package or some Guided Packages. Most of those on Guided or Basic Packages they will be staying at our Beautiful Gotchen Lake Site, where we offer 2 and 4 person cabins equipped with full amenities, hot and cold running water. Breakfast and Dinner are served in the Lodge.
For our guests who would like even more of an adventure, we offer a horseback fishing experience. On these horseback rides, we pack in by horseback from one to three hours to a remote wilderness lake, with wild rainbow trout in the 1 to 6 pound range. We offer drift trips along the Horsefly River, a classified river that is catch and release and fly fishing only with a single, barbless hook. Rainbow trout have been recorded in the river up to over 20 pounds.
Naturally, the larger trout are more difficult to attract. However, many wild rainbows can be caught daily in the 2 to 10 pound range. The Mitchell River has the same attributes as the Horsefly but is more remote and fly fishing only. We also arrange fly-outs to several other inaccessible lakes for our guests, if desired.

Horsefly River Guided Drift Fishing Trips
The Horsefly River is a Class 2, fly fishing only, catch and release only, large rainbow trout river and angling days are limited. Our daily rate on the river is $125.00 U.S. in addition to the above lodge packages and includes:
- Licensed Angling Guide
- Drift Boat
- Class 2 Waters Angling License
Mitchell River Guided Trips
The Mitchell River is a wilderness river located in Cariboo Mountains Provincial Park. It is a catch and release, large rainbow and bull trout river and angling days are limited. Our Mitchell River trip can be done as an add-on to our basic lodge packages or as a trip unto itself and is available for up to 3 days at a time.
The additional cost would be $700.00 per person. This includes:
- Licensed Angling Guide
- Boat
- All Meals & Comfortable Cabin Accomodations
Guide for a Day
$650.00 per day for a party of 4 or less, plus $125.00 per person per day on the Horsefly if this is the river you wish to fly fish on.
ALL ABOVE TRIPS are subject to the Goods & Service Tax. All prices are based on double occupancy. Single occupancy would cost an additional 25%. All packages (except the Outpost Camps) are based on an 11:00 a.m. arrival and departure time at the Lodge. Basic Packages include lodging, food and the use of our boats. Guided Packages include lodging, food, a guide, the use of our boats and transportation from the lodge to the various fishing spots except where noted above.
The above rates do not include: Hotel expenses before or after contracted period, alcoholic beverages & tobacco, fishing tackle & gear, personal belongings, good & services tax (GST), or gratuities.
Indemnities: Each client accepts any risk involved in the participation on any of our trips and indemnifies Eureka Adventures against injury suffered by the client. Each person will be required to sign a contract and a waiver at the time of booking.
BOOKING CONDITIONS: A non-refundable 30% deposit per person is required on all bookings, with the balance due upon departure from the Lodge. In the case of the outpost camps the balance is due 30 days before arrival at the camp. Personal cheque will only be accepted on the initial deposit. Cancellations must be received at least 30 days prior to the start of the trip for your deposit to be transferable to another trip the same year. Final payment may be made in any of the following forms: Visa, money orders, bank drafts, recognized traveler's cheques, or currency. No refunds will be given upon withdrawal from any trip in progress.
